8000 RMB (before tax) including furnished housing accomodations in an apartment
shared with other foreign teachers. Teachers should be mature, outgoing
individuals who will enjoy this unique teaching opportunity. Teachers will
be invited to spend time with Chinese families to experience Chinese culture and
traditional celebrations. Teachers can sign up for summer (3 months), or 6
or 12 month assignments. Teachers can select the type of student or
students he/she may want to teach. Teaching schedule: 6 days / week, one day off
either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. 3 until 10 pm with a 2 hour break. （From
Sept. to Jan.） 6 days / week, with one day off either Monday, Tuesday or
Wednesday. 9 am until 5:30 pm. ( Semester after Spring Festival to March. )
Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am until 5 pm with a two-hour lunch break from 12 -
2 pm. (All year round). The biggest class has 20 students, ages from preschool
to high school and the smallest class has only one student. Vacation time
for the full-time teachers: Spring holidays (according to lunar calendar): 10
-14 days, including Golden Week (October 1 – 7) For the other holidays: this
will go according to the school’s calendar. The tax rate varies from 3 to 8 %
depending on the total earned.

This is an unpaid
English teaching position. Teach English Monday - Friday, preferable
with ESL teaching experience. There are 60 staff members (17 doctors and
37 nurses and technical assistants). Each
staff member is required to attend at least one English lesson per week. A volunteer would teach
8 am until 5 pm, 5 days per week.
Small class size: 3
- 6 students. They use the Oxford curriculum. The teaching would take
place at the hospital. The hospital handles 100 patients per day. It has
22 beds and a communal kitchen. A candidate should bring US $ 1,800. Accommodations are $400/month,
plus food costs an additional $200/month. Luang Prabang is a UNESCO site with 36
restored Buddhist temples.
MONGOLIA - Teach English to pilots in Ulaan Bataar for Eznis
Airways, the local Mongolian domestic airline. The 240 staff members and 25
pilots need a person who is conversant in aircraft terminology to teach in
English. The Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority requires of the pilots to have
an English Aviation Level 4. The ideal applicant can also teach basic
conversational English. The program participant needs to develop a power point
presentation describing the various parts of the aircraft with English titles,
such as cabin, engine, aileron, etc.

MONGOLIA - Teach English at the Global Leadership University of Ulaanbaatar. Working conditions: Teaching English to adults in 45-minute sessions. The workweek is 30 hours. A Mongolian ESL teacher will provide initial guidance to you. This role includes a home stay with a local family including 2 meals per day. A monthly stipend
of US$300 to cover miscellaneous expenses will also be provided. Requirements: Some teaching experience. ESL certification is preferred. 5 - 25. Teach English from 7 am - 10 am. Schedule is
breakfast snack at 6:00 AM, teach english from 7-10 AM, lunch at 11 AM,
afternoon free until 6 PM dinner. No work on Friday. A
participant would have her or his own room with a window on the third
floor. Assist also with offerings, cleaning floors and other matters.
6 kids have no parents. 30 lost their parents later in life. This is a
volunteer position, but room and board are provided. Bring some
used clothes for a range of ages. The location is about
3 km from the center of Denpasar, the capital city of Bali. A student
must be able to live on chicken, tofu, rice, sambal, crackers, fish,
pork and water. The communication will be in English.
